Is titanium hypoallergenic?

Yes. Helix titanium rings are machined from solid titanium, which contains no nickel — the metal behind most jewellery reactions. It is the same grade used in surgical implants, so it suits people who cannot wear plated or alloyed bands. If your skin reacts to costume jewellery or stainless steel, titanium is usually the safest metal option.

Can a titanium ring be resized?

No. Titanium is too hard for a jeweller to stretch or cut down the way gold is resized, and custom titanium rings are machined to your size before dispatch. If the fit is wrong, the answer is an exchange rather than a resize — check the returns policy for the current window and any exchange fee before you order.

How does titanium compare to tungsten for weight?

Titanium is the lighter of the two by a wide margin — roughly 45% lighter than steel, and noticeably lighter than tungsten carbide, which is one of the densest metals used in jewellery. If you want a ring you stop noticing, choose titanium. If you want obvious heft on the hand, tungsten delivers it.

Will a titanium ring scratch?

Titanium resists dents and bending far better than gold, but it does mark. A brushed or satin finish hides everyday scuffs best, since new scratches blend into the existing grain; a polished finish shows them more.
